In sleep there is no rest

In sleep there is no rest

A Poem by eyeoftheserpent
"

one of my nightmares

"

Within slumber's embrace, locked in a blessed curse.
Watch the way the wind blows, in killing fields torn and burned, covered in poison.
Into a river of twisted mortal shells. familiar as they are, they strangely feel like nothing.
Through a door, the air becomes painful and astringent.
Jester in the corner...
He laughs without a sound.
Watching me from under a blindfolded scar, departing from this malady as a skinless wraith...
The realm is but a single pedistal protruding...intruding in a sphere of darkness.
Surrounded by an army of suspended corpses, their souls are made of flies.
Upon awakening the ritual is over...
But another scar is revealed....
