Reverie

noun; the state of being lost in your own thoughts; a daydream

As the lazy summer haze, 

Settled over the meadow where we lay,

I turned to catch a glimpse of you,

Just as the afternoon light, 

Ignited the embers of your caramel eyes,

And I was left with little breath,

Wondering how my heart had not thrown itself out my chest, 

You bestowed a small smile on me then,

As I laid my head on your chest,

I vowed to carry this moment,

until my dying breath,

Your laugh, my secret lullaby, 

Forever and evermore.
