Bewitched

Addicted to men,

Who make me feel this way.

Giving myself away,

For free,

Without holding anything at bay.

It took me awhile,

To realize,

I was trying to replace,

The love that I felt an absence of,

Rather than the love I should’ve.

I guess I like being used,

It feels better than being marooned.

Wine stained lips on my neck,

I’m alive again.

Well, I guess it is better than being marooned but...it is better to be loved because someone truly adores you than, because you are easy to love. If that makes any sense. Still, your poem does speak in loud terms and I hope this is just a fictional expression of some off the wall feeling. And besides...I am not a fan of the color maroon very much. : )

Thank you for your review! I agree that it is much better to be loved by someone who actually cares versus someone who does not. Hahaha, it's not my favourite colour either :) but definitely thought it fit the darkness of this piece. Thanks again!
