At LastA Poem by Lacinius
A little girl growing up too fast.
Rhine-stone thongs and high class make-up, Stiletto heels and mini skirts. ~ Daddys little girl aint so little anymore. The once upon a times are all gone. No tucking-in, or piggy-backs. Just a purse and a wad of cash. ~ Mommys angel fell from heaven. Her wings ripped off; the feathers flew. Rolling with the devils and no one knew. ~ Shes too far gone She wont come back. Just look to the stars and Hope for some slack. ~ Moms tried her best, Dads just given up. But God keeps watching As she refills her cup. ~ Forgive her now, She tried so hard. That party was crazy, And so was the bar. ~ She wont come home Not tonight. The sun has risen. Its way too bright. ~ The truth will unravel When the time is right. What happened to her Was a dreadful sight. ~ The mourning will come But this too will pass. Remember her name As Gods child at last. © 2008 Lacinius |
