black & blue

so black and blue,

the tears go streaming.

the cries and sighs that no one hears.

the lips that quiver uncontrolably

whisper heart wrenching secrets.

Absolutely beautiful. I've been there so many times. The most painful cries and sighs are the ones that nobody hears, and sometimes it seems that no one will ever hear them. Great writing!
