To Laugh

Laughter is the best medicine.

Some people cried

Others opressed

She laughed

Loud and joyously

Through pain

And anger

Through suffering

 

She would remember the good

The funny

And all that was happy

And she would laugh

Because laughter

And a smile

were the best medicince

 

They warded away the devil

And kept evil and darkness

From settleing on her heart

 

Innocence of her laughter

kept the corruptiion of pain at bay

And she with wisdom beyond her years that

To Laugh

And to smile was by far

God's most powerful medicine.

 

 

Author's Note

I'm happy today which is good. I realize yesterday i wrote 2 depressing poems so i will write 3 happy ones today.

Laughter is the best medicine. Strange how many people tell me I'm a funny guy. I look at life at a different way. My background is dark and sad....I manage to keep a light mood of it and be able to find humor in it. its our best survival technique. I love this poem....its reminds me of this. :) thank u

You are so right. Laughter will touch and heal the soul when nothing else can seem to get near it. A "natural" medicine that transverses just about all barriers. Something that most of the world could use a good dose of everyday and thank you for your laughter therapy session for today. I needed that. More of this therapy and the world would be a less painful place.

how right you are , i think we all have down days but if we can appreciate gods gifts , we'll find something to cheer us up , be it something of beauty or even something silly , god gave us the ability to laugh at ourselves too and that is a wonderful gift . life can be cruel sometimes but by giggling at ourselves , we are refusing to be beaten by lifes unpleasant side . memories too are fantastic things . when i lost someone very close to me , my whole world collapsed but in the depths of despair , i started remembering little things and the sunshine came back into my life .
you have given us a lovely message here , extremely well written princess , please stay happy and keep spreading the word .
