Calm.
Serene.
Placid.
The wind blows.
Blows. Fans through my face

Arms wide agape, at the edge of a cliff.
ashore.
The salty air, fills in my lungs
Fills me

Eyes close. Head held high.
Yes, i too am serene.
As the waves crash on to the rocks nearby
As gulls fly above my head
The sun shines, it's rays that spread

I remember, the darkness of the night.
The violence of the fight.
The vengeance still that burns.
Ill fate yet uncured.

Yes, i remember how his blood filled my eyes
How his fear made my hands tremble at my sides

Oh, that black night.
Where the winds were still.
The fires cold.
The winds ran dry.
Vengeance, unsated.

That dread.
That fear.

And here i am with nothing at all.
I've lost the ones i loved.
All i loved, dwells in the past.
Pain, my constant companion.
Agony, my invariable acquaintance.

So i'm about to dive in.
The water's cold
But overwhelming.

Leaving behind relics of the past.
The antiquity of a dark night- where i plundered and killed.
Where i plunged into blood.
A night i killed.

So you sleep safely.
I'll watch over you from the skies.
You'll be under my guard
So sleep with the smile i killed for
