A rose to the one

A poem about my feelings toward my current lover.

A rose with petals red as blood
To the one whom I care and love.
Emptiness no longer found,
Took my feet right off the ground.

A life with promise true as this,
To the one I know and kiss.
Sorrow no longer give,
Lost myself safe within it.

A rose with leaves green as grass,
To the one whom will make it last.
Fear no longer feared,
For it took me far from here.

A soul with life clear as a mirror,
To the one whom I hold dear.

A rose to the one whom holds my heart,
To him I will never part
Or shall my blood be drawn,
By the thorns of the rose held by this bond.
