Fear of Me

this feeling, this loss

it consumes and devours my soul

i'm lost and alone

unable to ask for guidence

fearing this, but fearing you more.

 

 

the butterflies are

gone, the charm

is fading, you're

nothing to me now,

this is so frustrating

 

 

i'm simple minded,

closed-off and unsure

protecting myself

from the one thing

that could set me free

 

 

i've lost it all, said too much

let you in only to cut you

up, kill me, take the pain

away

 

 

what do you see

that's so worth saving

what do you see

in this little broken girl

she's crying out for the numbness

she once knew it so well

but you've stolen it away

yes, very sad. a talented write. penned in such a manner it draws us in to feel the pain. not all pieces are capable of pulling at my emotions to the point of empathy, even sympathy. this does just that. to me, its the mark of a gifted writer.
