omissionsA Poem by felionessknowing it's over
the
wind won't sleep tonight mournful
omissions keep me awake while
i watch moon splintered darkness move over plaster outside
the night is deep the
stars weep diamonds jagged
and raw they sweep across the sky glittering
like harpies on a high recriminations
reflect more guilt than gold so
i am told last
night i heard an owl afterwards,
silence ... then
the sudden womanly scream of a fresh kill and
i dreamt of you i
wore white and you were shadows carved from stone your
lips falling feathers and i was snow
bearing signs of struggle history
is unalterable and
while i was lost in a storm your
Icelandic eyes
searched distant horizons © 2014 felionessReviews
