Tell me why I still feel lost

Tell me why there aren't enough distractions 

Tell me why chaos is so inevitable 

And why I hurt myself and people I love

Tell me why people hurt the very planet that allows them to exist

Tell me why the moon is so underappreciated 

Tell me-- 

If all the lights went out in the dead middle of night

Would they see her beauty?

Tell me darling,

Will you hold me close

When I forget who I am?
