you are so spirited

you are so quick

i must keep my eyes on your every move

 

i wait for you

for you to run to me

to kiss your cheek

and tell you you are sweet

 

i turned away

just for a quick sec...

you ran away to play

i called your name

but the tire screeched

down you went

my heart screeched

 

my body is weak

my soul has flown away

i don't know how

i will get through another day
