Buddy Contract

I wrote this poem because it was inspired by ATG, a good friend of mine. But this goes out to all my friends as well!

 

 

 

 

 

I was inspired by a very special friend,
but thats how it works i've come to see.
Without friends there are no poets,
no more of you and no more of me.

 

My mama said blood is thicker than water
Family comes first and the rest you can screw
But I want to tell my mama, water keeps us alive
Plenishes the throat and pulls us through.

 

Without friends there is no inspiration,
No more 'i'm here' and hugs when you are sad.
Without friends where is optimism,
when everything is going bad.

 

You see, there is a bond created,
between you and a very special friend.
A golden contract is then born
where you and him will blend.

 

This is the Buddy Contract,
and you know what I'm talking about.
Every friend has heard of this,
if you havent then do not pout.

 

The Buddy COntract is very simple,
Take a look and this is what you do.
When a friend you have is not very happy,
take a crayon and make them not the color blue.

 

Listen well and have ears the size of Dumbo,
Because thats all a friend needs sometimes
You may think ears may do no good at all,
but you'll be surprised what adds with just dimes.

 

When you have a friend the darkness goes away,
from your shoulders the doom has been lifted.
Now here's our Buddy Contract that I give to you,
this is something that cannot be regifted.
