Meeting LunaA Poem by fiery-sanAlways from a distance, I gaze upon your beautyI gaze upon you Radiance overshadowing the darkness I reach out My fingers meeting the coldness of the night There was nothing but dusty diamonds cast against dark velvet No sound but the crickets’ lullaby Not a cry, I know I’m alone. Shifting with the months, I watched you. A sigh escapes me I already know you’re too far to reach.
No longer a child. I gaze upon you once more. Years pass as the seasons shift I grew, molded by time and colored by experience. You remain ever beautiful and glowing. “Sweet Immortal.” Escapes my smiling lips Chuckles full of reminisce following after. A little hand points towards you. My companion, such a sweet child. “Luna.” He speaks. © 2013 fiery-sanAuthor's Note
