Greeting new beginnings should be full of joy and fun

Counting down to the stroke of midnight

Followed by a deafening burst of color and noise

painting the sky with flowers of fire

Whirs and chinks of horns and coins

Shouts and greetings fill the air

A new beginning, a new year awaits
