where do you stand.

where do you stand.

A Poem by Everett Dulin

where do you stand?
when heaven cries,
with its tears of
steely blu-109s?

tell me where do you stand,
when the night gets cold?
no conscious man,
would ever feel warm.

with your padded socks,
and your plastic guns.
have you ever felt sand?
do you feel love?

tell me where do you stand
when the bombardment ends,
and the sound of silence
except for a screaming man?

tell me where do you stand.
where do you stand?
where do you stand?
oh tell me where do you stand.

i had a little brother,
he couldve been older.
he wanted to be doctor.
now he needs an order.

for an mri
to see his spine,
though youve seen it before.
just a casualty at war.

tell me where do you stand.
when the cities gone,
do you have a plan?
oh lord, will you be done?

or does netanyahu
have another bomb,
where that came from?
tell me where do you stand.

I see a plea to God.
And then remember all the times I saw written or heard someone say...How can an all knowing, all benevolent God let these kinds of things happen?
How?

Maybe he's taking a long nap. I've heard parenting is hard.
