hate(need)

hate(need)

A Poem by Everett Dulin
"

when nuance is gone, what remains isn’t clarity

"

the gathered lexicon
battered, used, adored
the dreadful compulsion
to carve, to scream, to put into words

words ripped apart, jagged and torn
the suf's, the pre's
macabre, melancholic endings
with no resolve, no -fixes

a syllable, a synonym
a gutting inflection
"I ____ you"
with accents of tonal laceration

the proofreader path
long and etched into my skin
red-ink lines, my lexicon
hate and its definition

when nothing's left
to be loved, or said
choking on torn-page breath
i won't ruin that silence

Hello, the darkest, but hopefully powerful poet. I looked up more than half of the words in the dictionary, or should I say lexicon. Ive also loved the old title of that poem too "hate, need, love, loss". In my eyes you were always an original poet and somehow you manage to make this originality even more original in every new poem. You have feelings and words and there it is! You are an incredible poet. Lucky to read you. Just keep going!
I will always___ you (read,listen,watch)
