Mask

A Poem by James Paulin
"

Rhymeo

"

Pretend,

conceal or reveal

to achieve or somewhat deceive,

to what end?

With style it only lasts awhile.

If self is not sufficient,

amend.

I really liked the power in the last line. The flow/rhythm felt a little weak in "to achieve or somewhat deceive, / to what end?" But overall, good poem. Nice statement.

Powerful last line. I love the rhythm and the inner rhyme in the fifth line. I'm also impressed by how much it says in so few words. That takes talent.
