Plastic Baggage

Plastic Baggage

A Poem by James Paulin
"

5 lines-5 words contest

"

often saying “throw it away”

so into garbage they go

drawstring bags bulging with ragtag

landfills, seas or dumps appease

trashes trace evermore to face

A reminder to avoid buying things in plastic packaging...I think of all the plastic floating in the ocean. I try to buy fresh food that doesn't need to be in a package.

I really love this one. A very good naturalist piece on the subject of littering. Great social commentary. I especially loved the third line, well done.
