First of all, the title of this poem captured my attention. I love poems, especially Haikus, with the confidence to name a place. I don't know much about haiku but I believe Basho said naming a place was prerequisite. I can see the Godliness of the landscape sanitised by mittens. Love how you've used rhyme within a haiku. It's so inventive.

Beautiful words for a place called God country. I was lucky. I had a job and worked 5 years in Iron Mountain. Life was better because you could feel the hands of nature holding on to the Upper Michigan. A outstanding poem.
