Nightmare seizes the sleeping mind’s eye,
Injured, mewling, stubborn predator,
Misplaced pearl amid shallow forgeries,
Putrescent expulsion, green and chunky,
Cleaning revulsion, confused absolution,
Disturbing echoes in consciousness.

Details hold lines together: green and chunky is excellent, as are pearls and forgeries . Isn’t there a more exact word than “predator”?
