CRUX

This is my most confusing piece by far. It will take a lot out of the reader to understand, but the whole things is a "puzzle" to begin with.

CRUX

Stuck in a cryptogram,
living out this enigma,
walls lined with questions,
but no answer in sight,
overbearing conundrum,
herding people like sheep,
a puzzling shepherd,
leading the puzzled.

…a tough nut to crack.

Uncut Gordian knot,
adding to the intrigue,
baffled minds forging theories,
perplexion seeps in,
outwitting the valiant,
polluting the free and the clear,
complexity on the battlefield,
lacking wits to fight.

…Pandora’s box slightly ajar.

Fallen between the cracks,
bewildered shells,
awaiting the cliffhanger,
a compelling predicament,
teasing the mystery,
disturb Pandora in her sleep,
a glimpse of the riddle,
an unpredictable situation.

…hornet’s nest in hot water.

Illumination still at arm’s length,
Sphinx the herdsman,
tending to the dumbfound,
calls for a riposte,
a skirmish ensues,
intricate versus the obvious,
mind-boggled no longer,
a parable turned storyteller.

As usual, you've written a really good piece. I really liked the complex, puzzling feel of it. It was actually really intriguing and exciting. And - as unintelligent as this sounds- I liked all the puzzley words you used. It just added to the whole effect of the writing. It was really confusing, but in a good way, if that makes any sense. :)

Well that was interesting. However, this is not Amphigory. It is completely missing the "nonsense that is not nonsense" that ear marks the form. I like your write, but it does not meet the criteria of a Amphigory poem.
