The girl who wanted someone to love,
the girl who was so lost and alone,
finally found the boy who loved her
and wanted her forever
it scared her so much that
she began to break and destroy
everything in her path
and everyone she loved
to push him away
she screamed and raged
pleaded and begged
loved and hated
clung and pushed
so terrified of the demons inside
so afraid to be happy
so confused about
everything she wanted
He stayed and stayed
loved and hated
and loved some more
he gave and took
and always came back
he knew what he wanted
the broken, lost girl
with the giant heart
that kept getting poked
and torn.
He didn't know she
was irreparable
and longed for her
with his heart on his sleeve
watching her
break and destroy
everything she loved
helpless to stop her
too in love to leave her
left in an agonizing limbo
of his own.
The irony was
she got exactly what she
wanted
the boy who wouldn't leave
and she just threw him away

Most of us we don't realize how good we have it. A powerful poem. Some of us can swim in paradise and waste the moments. Description and story held me to the last word. A excellent poem.
