This One's For You

 

You are the person

 who meant a lot to me.

                                         I never thought you would                                          be that one.

 

I never imagined myself

caring this much for anyone.

There is no time in a day

I had not thought of you.

 

Each night

 before I close my eyes.

It's you I prayed to be always safe

wherever you are.

 

And each day when I woke up

I prayed that you'll never feel blue.

That you'll always feel loved

by the people you cared so much for.

 

I may not be that one person

you cared for.

Knowing you in my life is more than

anything in this world I could wish for.

 

I wish you love that never ends

from someone you love the most.

This Christmas Eve,

it's all I asked

just for you my dear Joe.
