Random thought on SuicideA Poem by LaPlumaI was reading the newspaper today and saw something that just brings me to tears. Even though all this time has passed and the pain has lessoned through the years. This time a pro football player was so sad that he wanted to die, but a friend came upon him, foiled his heartless try to commit the greatest sin of all, suicide. He didn't die.
I grieve to think what can bring us down so far, a woman, a man? I wonder endlessly why, how what pushed you so, I don't understand? Yet, I feel the anger I have caged like a lion locked up inside, this most horrible of deaths, yes, suicide! He died.
My heart breaks to think that a friend or maybe my child could be so sad. There isn't much I can do, It drives me mad because I've seen the bad. I know he didn't think it could hurt me and others until we die, the pain runs so deep and red, yes, until I am dead... Your suicide. © 2008 LaPlumaAuthor's Note
