Rain on Different RoofsA Poem by LoxA late-night after thought on how I'd see my life at if I was born under different circumstances.
Rain pours, dripping, dropping
The chill seeps through your skin Winds blow, unending not stopping It howls, a whistling melodic hymn Pouring water, droplets splatter Muffled by the walls of your home Comfy beds, warm covers Surely thankful, this, you've known? People outside, ridden by cold Truly star-crossed lives Nothing to eat, such hungry souls An existence we'd revise If tides turn, we fill their shoes Will we begin to know? To understand? To symphatize? Hardships of those below Rain pours, dripping, dropping The chill seeps through your skin Winds blow, unending not stopping It howls, a whistling melodic hymn © 2020 LoxAuthor's Note
