Traveling through his mindA Poem by gabbyhopeharoWhen you get trapped in the head of a narcissist, willingly. Passing all of the obstacles, knowing you should turn back but you can’t let go. It happens over and over again. You’re stuck now.
It’s too foggy
I can’t see ahead Barriers go up You won’t let me through There’s a sign in the distance Can’t make out what it spells I went the wrong way I have no direction The lights go out I am driving blind The road is winding It’s dangerous to steer There’s still so far to go I refuse to turn back I press the gas There’s a natural speed The drive becomes instinctive I remember these turns It’s then suddenly so clear I’ve been down this road before I no longer feel unsafe The end starts to disappear I know now I don’t make it out I’m meant to be here © 2026 gabbyhopeharo |
