TravelingA Poem by gabbyhopeharoWhen you get trapped in the head of someone so wrong, willingly so. Fighting the obstacles, knowing you should turn back but you can’t let go. It happens over and over again. You’re stuck now though.
It’s too foggy
I can’t see ahead Your barriers hit the ground You won’t let me through There’s a sign in the distance I can’t make it out I went the wrong way I have no direction The lights go out I am driving blind The road is winding It’s dangerous to steer There’s still so far to go I refuse to turn back I press the gas There’s a neutral speed The direction becomes instinctive I remember these turns It’s then suddenly so clear I’ve been down this road before I no longer feel in fear The end starts to disappear I know now I don’t make it out I’ll always end up here © 2026 gabbyhopeharoAuthor's Note
