Another Day in October

This is Halloween, so here's to the kids.

Here's to the kids who

feel too afraid to put on another costume.

are more comfortable when everyone else is disguised.

wear a mask every day.

want to feel like a kid again.

Here's to the girls who

are pressured to look perfect.

feel too insecure to dress up.

just want to feel pretty.

want to look like someone else.

Here's to the boys who

know appropriation is not funny.

don't want to see girls in nylon and netting.

feel more relaxed when faces are hidden.

don't care if they're too old for today.
