A Rothko Kind of Day

A poem about abstract art

Yesterday was like that
Hoping today will be better
Always a fan of Mark Rothko
He inspired me as a young painter
Still to this day

Moody
Unafraid
Bold
Firestarter
Some of his traits

This painting doesn't do him justice
It was just a feel thing
I honor him where I can
I'm a moody guy myself
Rothko however brightens my days

While not a big fan of Rothko, I did have the chance to view his collection in the Museo Nacional in Madid. A good day spent I can say enjoyed your tribute to the art and artist

Yes, he was incredibly unique in his craft.
All the large modern art museums show his work.
