SolitaryA Poem by G. K. Bostic
Sable sky lightens with sun’s sloth-like Entrance into dawn, And with it comes wakening awareness And recall of heartbreak. Languid limbs plod through remembrance Of wicked words, Cold daggers on pages of pain.. Left at the altar, gown of white turned to ash, Deserted, desolate… Honeymoon unescorted, unwanted, unmarried. Turquoise tears filling the sea, Native of nowhere pulling into the Dock of desolation.
