Love - Hate

Through serpent tongue

of trusted one…

venom flowed

betraying trust

of innocent child.

 

Dependence found duplicity

and trust was crushed

by cancer that grew

through stages

leading to its death.

 

Love crushed, altered,

metastasized to hate.

Now pen releases poison

draining the malignancy of years
