Fundamentally Wrong

Fundamentally Wrong

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

So many lines with so many rhymes
To chide the stupidity rampant in these times

Minds are small, attention spans are short

Like an unwanted fetus some girl will abort

In goes the saline and out comes the slime

Don't you know stopping a heart is a crime?

No wait, that only occurs outside the womb

It's ironic the safest place becomes a tomb

Thousands, maybe millions could be alive today

Happy with childless couples, a much better way

It's sick, degrading, and fundamentally wrong

Thirty odd years is a length too long

This may be an odd stance to have at all

Willingly though, I challenge that decree with gall

Children are the future, our best resource

It's steering this country off the moral course

Someday soon, that decree shall be overturned

And all those in favor shall get burned

Do this because life is sacred, more than gold

Or else we'll be seeing a deserved, hellish cold

Personally I am pro choice, there are some people on this earth that really don't deserve to be parents.
This is such an emotionally fuelled piece. The fourth line really stood out to me, and you can really feel your passion.

Thanks, Calypso.
You made your point nicely. I agree completely. Watch out. You may be attacked by the "tolerant" leftists.

Correct. It is all about respect. You are welcome, Ken.
So the moral of the piece is that you are pro-life? How I do enjoy a good poem about wombs!

I can appreciate the idea that life is sacred I cannot agree though unless we extend this to all life.Since we think we have the right to overpopulate the world. Wipe out other species and take what we want We are doomed to be the only life left at some time. And when the silent spring finally comes.and all the birds are in a museum. We'll sell our birthright for a song. So our grandchildren can pay to see them. We live in really open country but it has problems now too it is uninhabitable in great swaths out west.We only have enough land now to feed the world we need to address it in some way abstinence has never worked nature has always trumped it.Nature will always trump policy it is honed to produce and propagate it never ran into the problem of overpopulation. We already are influencing the nature of our world Spring comes 2 weeks earlier than when i was a child winters lack cold summers are hot.We only need to look to our inner neighbor Venus to see our future fate.A smoldering cauldron of hot gasses many times more dense than our own A runaway green house. We have reached the limit of habitation we need to slow our population .There are more people alive today than have lived through the entirety of humanity.some 40,000 generations of humanity
