In spiritual nowhere land, he stands some kind of alone with all the unique egotistical f***s who have their own religious rhetoric since they detest the common religious rhetoric,
the kind that says humans are all matter of snowflakes, unique as each human being on the planet is currently,
the kind that says salvation is granted if you accept faith as actual evidence,
the kind that says even though you are unique, you are dog s**t on a sneaker's sole,
your being or soul is really the sole of a shoe, walked on, trampled on each and every day,
nature does this routinely, so why do you want a religion that does such a thing?
it may motivate us by demotivation, but that's just another name for demeaning dehumanization,
but it works despite the positive shine the apologist put on it,
feed a dog tinsel and they can make s**t shine too, *
yet, the personality issue remains, he's still as egotistical a f**k as he ever was,
no amount of acceptance or rejection will solve that
Faith IS evidence. It is evidence that you believe.
Add faith in the idea of faith being the most important kind of evidence (because there's no proof of it! It's just a conviction!) and you have the reality-bending bubble of combined human wilfulness. Truly, it is possible for a man to pull himself up by his bootstraps, much like Baron von Munchausen.

This is an almost ethereal effectiveness to both languages in how they work, which might present evidence of a divine lawgiver an essence that is described by Paul Tillich as "the ground of being", not exactly an anthropromorphic being mind you. I might believe in that, but nature is possibly enough for that I think. This poem is about how I think some atheists (like me) have serious personality issues (like an being an egotistical a*s) despite their lack of belief in a deity.

Arguably, if you don't believe in a God, that just gives you greater license to have a massive ego. .. read moreArguably, if you don't believe in a God, that just gives you greater license to have a massive ego. I've heard the religious argue many times that atheists therefore think too much of themselves.
Then again, us knowing atheists will proclaim that believing in a separated entity that exists above the universe who created us all (equal?) still allows some people to say they have a hotline to the divine, and therefore pull rank over everyone else. With or without God, we can find reasons to be extra-super-special.

I love the religious undertone, or really, overtone. You have a view and a course of thought that is clear and inquisitive. I really liked "the kind that says even though
you are unique, you are dog s**t
on a sneaker's sole"
Very nice write!
