Orange Flag

Orange Flag

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

racing at residential speed
past Washington and Pocatello
and Billings and Laramie
along the mile-high line
creating prose, birthing verse,
about the blight that accosts
my eyesight,

why unemployed fat boys
and anorexic tweekers try
to look like something they
are not, Eminem wannabes
that fail in the thought
category called imagination?

but the righteous white rage
has receded due to the time
clock needing to be punched,
and so the project was shelved,
temporarily so,

man will do what man will do,
and that means wiggers will be
white boys who still live with
mommy and will steal the
neighbor lady's underwear
from the clothesline
for spank material,

and poetically strange ones
will look up vexillology
snippets for shiggles at
three units past the
witching hour,

the orange flag is placed as
the desktop picture, which
may call out a warning of
severe disturbance since
orange and pink are cousins
and the moon above may or
may not reflect suicidal
tendencies,

orange flags and pink moons
are probably no different than
black flags and white moons or
black moons and white flags...

but,

but,

but...

the perennial plants are getting
the necessary moisture while
the personal discontent is being
watered by the co-workers down
the way,

the orange flag is waving and
it's getting cold in here, like the
climate around the South Pole,

let the Nick Drake soundtrack
play away to keep the being
at ease, so where does
everything go from here?
