Sound Bites

windy morning,
Morning Edition plays on
informing the listening world
in intellectual fashion,

and the turbines turn
to the east and north
of this current location,

and the land is stripped
to the north as well,

coal and wind walk
almost hand-in-hand
here unlike the picture
painted by the less-than
great communicator and the
space man heading for Kolob,

energy can be generated
off the s**t their speeches
routinely spew and spout,

give tax breaks to both
and deregulate the industries
and maybe, just maybe,
the industries might
police and improve
themselves,

but this is not the
majority audience
after all,

they rely on
sound bites only
to make their
political decisions,

but even the
intellectual audiences
thrive off that reality too,

the human experience,
more messed-up than a
soup sandwich

I have told a few that they could mess up a soup sandwich and find that most of the ones I say this to, have no idea what I am talking about. My favorite stanza is the one about generating energy from the s**t spewed from their speeches. Ha! You are hilarious and so truthful. :)

The "soup sandwich" is a blinding metaphor...what a mish mash society has become huh? Believng the hype and not truth...never wanting to pull the curtains back for fear that light would render them needing to look deeper on a daily basis!
