Red Shift

Red Shift

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the operatives hack the
machines and control
the optical scanners,

they are the men behind
the curtain, and they are
white, privileged men
after all and that dying
demographic wants the
middle and lower classes
to have the higher tax burden,

playing fair requires rules
after all but the men who
actually suck Midas' c**k
make the rules,

these men are cocksuckers after all,

and so they farm out their talented
ones, the ones with technical wizardry
needed to pull of the red shift,

and, without that, they never would
have the backing of the populace,

their conservative ways would have
been flushed down the toilet of history,

but even in states like this,
that mentality, that way of life
reigns supreme and the men
of that ilk could probably
care less about the
falsified red shift,

because the red shift
is all that matters,

the ideal is most important and it
needs to be spread no matter how
the game is played
