Two Days

Two Days

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the rock suffered greatly

these last two days

lockdown and cancellation

no panic evacuation

lack of celebration

prisoner's incarceration

this is the work life

just days before yule

in the year the mayan

prophecy supposedly

unfolds, but the theatrics

are of an aztec nature

hearts ripped from the ribcage

and eaten before the ancient

equivalent of today's studio audience

the rock that stands crashes on and

crushes students, staff and admins alike

quetzocoatl

be praised or

be damned or

be existent or

be nonexistent

whatever the reality

life is not right

anywhere in the world

no matter what

anyone says

being human does

that to a person

any person

every person

and no matter how much

one b*****s and s***s their pants

about it, humanity is a bottle of

ammonia and chlorine solution

that will kill any ghost, any shell

within meters of it

prayer may help, but does the stress

ever go away, ever abate itself?

not in this lifetime,

which explains why everybody

dreams of the next one or

another version of this one

life is a rock that sinks us

when tied to our necks

and it always lasts

longer than two days
