New YearA Poem by Kenneth The Poetthe people form different factions as circles form different fractions
the state of nature given the odds no matter if there are zero gods
religion is a powerful venom a strong force, a cloth of denim
so is racism and national identity so many that vie for solemnity
human existence is the potent virus like when Belshazzar battled Cyrus
they will succumb badly and violently and just like smallpox, ever so silently
if the power quits as we go over fiscal cliffs then maybe all the global power shifts
in the favor of flags flying yellow stars then hopes are dashed for going to Mars
the Mayan prophecy is coming true not like this s**t is out of the blue
prophets prophesying centuries back no matter the method, no matter the attack
the gators and crocs have lived so long longer than dance and longer than song
predators prey on the weak, always so like three-by-three is nine, so it goes
be it halfs, fourths, eighths and tenths nature affords us zero recompense
man's brutality continues, forward march like the desert man is always parched
victims pile high and are thrown in graves underneath Europe's roads that are paved
remember this as the new year starts humanity and her nature shall never part © 2013 Kenneth The PoetReviews
