Paper Tiger

Paper Tiger

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

tiger of paper, roar yourself loud
inspire yawns in all the crowds

from the babes to the feeble
to the ones that lick the steeple

no fear created, dull roars all
so commence the crumbling fall

to dust it becomes at all once
the lifespan of a stone age dunce

that's its knack like Doug Fieger
so goes its effect, the paper tiger

Another new one...probably sucks more than the last one.

It certainly roars louder than a paper tiger this read. Feels like the facades we live behind, always waiting for truth to rear it's head and take hold.

Thank you, Frieda.
sounds like a metaphor for man and life we go through. trying to make a statement to the world 'hear me roar' but a life perhaps anti-climatic, uneventful, or uninspired. to dust we shall return. i enjoyed reading this one.

I understand totally. Considering how I see life at the moment, what you say resonates with me. Than.. read more
it doesn't suck..
It made me think on the title. Paper is so easy to fold and tear....but we put up a facade...people that is...we pretend to be fearless like a tiger....out of fear they might get a paper cut I think.

tiger of paper, roar yourself loud
...it read better for me when I replaced it with aloud?
