Too Much Mistake

Too Much Mistake

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

Inspired by Clay Jenkinson, a newspaper columnist from my home state

"

The blank spot in a state

of logarithmic decline

The coefficient negative,

but the public's so blind

The economic miracle is

a pipe dream at best

The golden state outweighs us,

and all others as best

And they may be sitting on

a gold mine of shale

That makes the blank spot

look anemic and pale

The boom shall be short and

the bust shall be long

The blank spot shall return to

that downtrodden song

The accidents of nature will

some time fall down

The future deficits will put

us into the ground

The recurrence of the

Too Much Mistake

Is the next course the

blank spot will take

I don't know buddy, from where I'm a sittin' I see our prospective states in better position than the other forty-eight or so....

Too much Mistake how many times I"ve contemplated that... an yet this delusional species still survives, against all odds, common sense and sanity..... yeah too much mistake indeed.

Ya got yer finger right on the pulse Ken, now just move your hand up a little to the throat.

How does that saying go... "Crazy is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results." Well that would make our Government insane.
