HorizonA Poem by Kenneth The PoetJack Johnson once asked, has the horizon been defeated?
or outright claimed actually,
yet either way he meant it, the sun still rises and the hopes and dreams of humans are still being actualized, realized fully,
will the change coming down the pike bring down the pike entirely?
time will reveal her secrets but the squawk-boxing has commenced from the hearts of stone lions,
and maybe the stone lions are correct,
scores will fall, minds will contract, the nation will crumble, the apocalypse will ignite,
and yet, hope springs eternal or on the interim,
will the horizon die?
