Linked In

Linked In

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the zeitgeist wants technocracy

and the staffers at present

are staring off the precipice

the black hole of digital

reality is sucking them

in at an exponential rate

a new kind of citizenship

has emerged making the

staffers unwilling

vanguards in an

untelevised revolution

that has been thrust

upon them like a

Frankenstein version

of Shakespearean greatness

being linked in is becoming

an imagined meadowlark on

an electronic prairie

and in reality, the staffers

may ntoice but are still numb

at the same time,

is numbness always

a sign of trouble?

not everybody is lacking

in career fulfillment by

not talking in one-hundred

forty character chunks

isolation and abstinence

are great things for

many, many people

being left behind from

the technological rapture

is a blessing unto itself

free agency will always

trump the zeitgeist
