AdvocateA Poem by Kenneth The PoetWritten in December '21, for my mother
she’s the greatest advocate
even though many of us can’t say the same thing even in a possible world where all relationships are based on cruelty, her love from conception to now is there, always there, an illusion of perpetuity on a finite time line her nature should be our model for divinity, not the one that has warfare in its DNA twenty-four seven, day after day, year after year and yet she tells me, you need to come home she combats Schopenhauer’s will each day, every day, her view of divinity is likely without gender, where the traits of love mesh with the traits of war to create a whole being flush with omni and her outlook on life is an oasis in a world populated by the likes of Cioran and Camus, Sartre and Shestov, the only possible world known as of right now if nihilism is the foundation of the modern world, then why have certain concepts remained in place? why has she remained such a staunch advocate for us and the divine? maybe it’s her making her own meaning in a universe full of undirected billiard balls the average believer has never read Kierkegaard but they make that leap of faith daily they need to or there’s no meaning to be had and many believers like her advocate for the less fortunate and the ones they love the most the nature of the nurturer, to serve and to protect my biggest advocate is her, always has been, without condition you’re the best one that anyone could ask for © 2025 Kenneth The Poet |
