Omega-Grade

Omega-Grade

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

Written in December '21

"
stars twinkle at ground level
even though some float higher
than others

the blessing and curse of
earthen elevation changes

octopus expulsion blanket,
fountain pen spires seen
in shadow, skycloth
further away hangs low
before the Cialis takes effect

single digits rule the air,
righteous enough for
water crystals turning
into columns and plates,
needles and dendrites

sweet chew losing flavor
so fast, a wallaby arrives
carrying the real thing and
then you go unconscious

leather bat upside the skull,
the twist ending nobody saw
coming from the murk

living is violence, atmospheric
extreme at the ground level

plunder asunder, blunder thunder

brain-dead ingenues and
adulterous, established rakes,
the baseline of omega-grade horror

prairie fire nightfall not
melting immaculate duvets,
astronomical units in action

not even silver medal caliber,
not even worth the rust on a
farmyard Case IH

this is your brain on blockers,
not even the omega-grades ones
