A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

Written in December '21

"
one songwriter is lamented today
and yet another is still forgotten

maybe he wasn’t the best
performer in the quartet
but without him, they’d be
just another garage band
in a decade full of them

his death wasn’t glamorous,
there’s some kind of romance
to being gunned down as
opposed to having your cells
turn into tumors without your
expressed, written consent

who controls the narrative here?

in this case I do since there
is something in the way sun
shines on the taxman

that’s where my mindset is,
it’s set on you
