Hello, Am I Alive?

Hello, Am I Alive?

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

Written in December '21, a piece that still doesn't have a title

"
Hello, am I alive?
Am I here to strive?
To thrive with my fingers
On each hand numbering five?

Are we here to invent or repent?
Are we here to see where the shadows went?
Are we here to owe the bank and pay the rent?

My perception is limited, stunted and stuck
Despite the fact that my rhyming isn’t crushed

But here comes the greats, the ones who toiled and impressed the gatekeepers
We have the time and the talents but I guess we’ll always be sleepers

Still, spark, connect, find the pole that revolves with you eternally
And the warmth within equates equinox vernally

Nicely expressed as it does raise questions as to why we are here. the flow is good, It seems we should be allowed to live without the system that has been forced upon blindly by our world order. Nice write ;-]

Thanks so much.
Kenneth, this has such a contemplative pulse. The way you balance playful questioning with deeper reflections on purpose and effort really resonates. The rhythm carries both curiosity and quiet resignation, like someone peering through life’s fog and catching glimpses of light along the way.
