Hierarchy

Hierarchy

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

men are toxic,
men are failures,
men are responsible for
causing most of the ills
in the world

and since the anonymity of
the digital world was largely
created by men

why did we evolve into
this way of doing business,
having the men taking
the reins of collective society
into the realm of hierarchy?

havinng men disrespecting
their mates because they
have the power to?

and why do we still allow
it here in the land of the
free and home of the brave?

this rampant misogyny,
we can't a female president
still and we can't get the banning
of discrimination based on gender
written into the founding document

this is the current year after all,
and sexism is something that's been
wrong throughout all times in history

and yet it didn't stop Peter III
from burning down Catherine's library
to teach female literacy or from
shooting her beloved pet bear

why?

just why do you love this
s**t so f*****g much,
Western Civilization?

it turns out we aren't so civilized
after all, especially on American soil

because men still rule here with
an iron fist, and so many women
willingly go along with it

hierarchy is toxicity,
and yet here it remains
until the end of time, or until
something actually changes

when will that be, because nobody
is collectively holding their breath
