Maverick

the maverick passed on and

left a legacy of love, laughter 

and truth

from Miami, Nashville and beyond,

there's no shame in crying now

he appeared happy and content

even though his intestines

were wracked with cancer

he and I lived his truth and made

thousands and millions happy

along the way

rest well, Raul, you've earned it

and your legacy as the maverick

you were is safe and secure
