Forthwith

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

sixty-seven and sixty-nine

squared themselves and took

the difference between themselves

and found that four sixty-eights

demanded compensation for barely

ever being memed or joked about…

but the truth is even sadder than that,

the song itself sucks beyond the edge

of the visible universe and it didn’t even

break into the Billboard Hot 100…

The decimal base value squared minus

the meme is Jesus, if that means anything

to anyone, and we’re apparently in his season

of reason after all…

and maybe Courage isn’t the cowardly dog

we think he is…

and cotton candy and bubblegum will not

matter after the sun goes supernova,

minus the champagne of course…

better to be hip tragically than an

oasis from the land of malt vinegar…

six, seven, shut the hell up…

and will eight six please

eighty-six this f*****g meme

here and now…

the world will thank you forthwith
