Pork Chop Hill

The illusion is palpable for sure. The sad truth is, this term was only six weeks.

The oblate spheroids
have ejected
countless millions
to search for
that single spheroid
that must be
tackled into
the process
of meiosis

Swimming through
noxious, acidic fluids
making their way
to the spheroid
as if it’s at
the apex of
Pork Chop Hill

But countless,
fruitless trips
have been made
up this version of
Pork Chop Hill
before and even
when the flag
has been planted,
then the battle upward
toward the higher base camp
on Everest has commenced

It has commenced again
and this time the power
of the metaphysical being
has been invoked
so the profile picture
can actually become
a reality,
a real,
true
and
tangible
reality

My father fought at the real Pork Chop Hill in the Korea war. He told me stories that were unbelievable. He told me he burn out three machine guns and the China kept coming. Some battle were just test to see how men would react to a battle for a acre of land. Repetition that wasn't needed. Look at the Civil war. How many die for a few acres of land and to be able to plant a flag? A lot of people don't know. Powerful countries need testing ground for war and new tech. Korean and Vietnam taught the USA to fought different. I saw the changes. Lighter equipment and better weapons. A interesting poem. Took me off in another direction. Always reason s for all things. The wars of today are not needed except for testing and keeping the large standing Military busy. A excellent poem.
